![]() ![]() ![]() What I would recommend, though, is that you pick one and stick with it, as the interfaces are different in many ways. It is, however, relevant if you think you may one day want to upgrade from Elements to Photoshop, because I believe Elements can be purchased outright. I don't like the idea of software as a service and will never rent from Adobe, but that's a personal choice and that conversation is old. Removing a telephone pole next to the soccer field from growing from my son's head is easy in PSP (the newest Elements has content-aware removal, as well), and for the price of renting software for a few months you can soon buy the PSP Pro X7 version. I use LR for 80-90% of my edits, but that remaining 10-20% needs an editor like PSP or Elements, which I'm sure is good, too. Using LR instead is an excellent recommendation, with the caveat that if you want to edit at the pixel level, LR is not an option at present (who knows what they'll do in future). There is a lot of help out there, too, with tutorials and resources galore. There was a time after Corel took it over from Jasc that I was not that impressed, but the latest two versions are great. I don't know Elements, so my comment is restricted to PSP, which I've used for many years and generally like a lot. ![]()
